My list of ‘The best dual timeline novels you will ever read’ is now live on Shepherd.com.

I love dual timeline fiction and read a lot of it, so singling out just five books that I’ve enjoyed for inclusion on this list was one of the hardest tasks I’ve ever had to do. 

I wanted this list to reflect the diversity of the books that are out there waiting to be read that fit this category, so I’ve selected novels that go back to different historical periods and in a variety of geographical settings. The authors also use different devices to connect the narratives, whether it’s hypnotism, an ancestorial link, a building, a hint of the supernatural or a character who the reader meets in the present whilst her story unfolds in the past – or sometimes a combination of these.
