About Amanda Roberts
Amanda Roberts is an award-winning reporter and magazine editor with over 30 years’ experience of specialist business-to-business titles and events. She currently edits HEFMA Pulse, Hospital Food + Service and Hospital Caterer magazines, and writes creatively whenever she can.
Her first novel, The Roots of the Tree, was published in 2014. Since then she has written a short story, some children’s stories and two more novels. The second of these full novels – The Woman in the Painting – was published in September 2023.
Amanda is now working on the first of a new series of historical novels, with a bold heroine and the dramatic setting of the North East of England.
Amanda is a member of The Society of Authors, The Historical Novel Society and West Oxfordshire Writers.
I really loved this book. It’s a great story and a real page turner. It’s the story of one family’s response when a devastating secret comes to light.
