Secrets of the Penny University – book launch

Secrets of the Penny University – book launch

The sequel to The Woman in the Painting is now available on Kindle e-book, with the paperback launching on October 1.

Secrets of the Penny University is a dual timeline novel with the atmospheric setting of an Oxford coffee shop in 1656 – when the city was home to the first coffeehouses to open in England – and 2025. It tells the story of Tilly, who we last saw as a six-year old child at the end of The Woman in the Painting, but who is now a young woman, seventeen years old, who finds herself in a difficult situation.

In the present day, we follow Amy, who discovers that the wallpaper in the top room of the building she and her husband have just bought on Oxford’s High Street is papering over more than just cracks. Want to know more? Head to the novel’s own page on this website.

Secrets of the Penny University will be launched during the Book Launch Session at the Wallingford Literary Festival on October 3. The session is free but booking is necessary. Further launch events will follow in Oxford and Islip, and a full week of online events starts on October 19. More details to follow.
